This sound piece was conceived for the beginning of the Sunken Cities: Egypt’s lost Worlds exhibition.
It has been build as an introduction to what is called the Osiris Mysteries, which are ritual processions over a few weeks, made in ancient Egypt. It involved water, taking place on the Nile. Thus, the sound creation had to evoke a watery world in an abstract way, creating an immersive sound space for the public to dive in.
The exhibited pieces have been brought back by Franck Goddio, from the depths of Mediterranean sea.
The temporary exhibition first took place at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris from September 2015 to January 2016, before going to London and then around the world.
